When Ye Fast - SAINT MATTHEW 6:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. {17} For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. - SAINT JOHN 3:16-17

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. {17} But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; - SAINT MATTHEW 6:16-17

JESUS GREETINGS, Dear Friend,

     Fasting.  What do we normally think about when this word formulates itself on the grid of our minds?  To many, fasting, simply, means to give up food for a certain period of time, or some form of pleasure such as sweets, or televison watching.  To others fasting means that they are giving up one or more meals a day, while focusing on their relationship with GOD Our FATHER Through HIS BELOVED SON, JESUS CHRIST.  All these, Dear Friend, are correct in their nature, and worthy of all acceptation {1 TIMOTHY 1;15}, however in this particular blog post, we're going to discuss our fasting from our daily appropriate food intake.

     In today's Foundational HOLY BIBLE SCRIPTURE we see our BLESSED LORD AND POTENTATE {1 TIMOTHY 6:15}, Our CRUCIFIED AND RESURRECTED {SAINT MATTHEW 27, SAINT MARK 16} KING Of kings and LORD Of lords {REVELATION 19:16},  JESUS THE CHRIST, INSTRUCTING us in the manner we should express ourselves while we are on a particular, said, fast.  When we are called to fast, JESUS INSTRUCTS us to wash our face and pour oil on our head, while not disfiguring our faces, in order that we appear not unto men to be fasting.  In these fasting mannerisms, Our GREAT LORD AND GOD {SAINT JOHN 20:28}, JESUS CHRIST IS INSTRUCTING us that ALMIGHTY GOD SEES Our hearts, and HE WANTS us to conduct these Spiritual CHRIST-SEEKING Matters in secret, Making us aware that what the FATHER SEETH in Secret, HE WILL REWARD Openly {SAINT MATTHEW 6:4}.

     With these thoughts in mind, it is imperative, if you are taking medication, that you at the least drink plenty of water, and if You've sought ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST'S HOLY SPIRIT'S WISDOM in your fasting endeavors, You might want to eat something light with your medication.  Rememeber, my friend to do all things with wisdom.  In the same manner, please seek GOD in asking when you should end your fast.  Some people fast from sun up to sun down, for an entire day, or for a few days.  Let everyone be persuaded in his own mind {ROMANS 14:5}.

     So, my Friend are you thinking about begining a fast in these comiung days as many people do in the New Year?  Please be advised of the perfect fast that pleases CHRIST JESUS Found in ISAIAH 58:6:

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

     When we understand the reasoning behind our fasting, it behooves us to remember that obedience is better than sacrifice, and that our departing from evil, is a better way to hear from ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH GOD, than in our pushing our plate away.  We already have the Victory in CHRIST JESUS, and no weapon formed against us will ever be able to prosper, in fact ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH GOD SAYS THAT HE'S NOT THE ONE COMING AGAINST us.  Amen?  Amen. "Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. {1 JOHN 5:21}"  "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.  {REVELATION 22:21}."
