When we fast, I believe it is to get closer and stay close to our KING, THE LORD CHRIST JESUS! Many a times IN Our HOLY BIBLE we see various Fasting, in order to humble themselves unto ALMIGHY JESUS CHRIST, to show forth repentance.
Yes, we see the prophet Daniel fasting for twenty-one days in order to seek GOD'S FACE. You also hear that Moses the meekest man under CHRIST JESUS OFCOURSE WHO IS ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF, COMPLETING A FORTY DAY FAST without eating or drinking. When we fast from food or from something we like to do, such as watching television, drinking coffee, or eating sugery delights, this shows that we aim to seek ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH GOD, all the while waiting to Hear From HIM, to ANSWER our prayer petitions, or as was mentioned in an earlier paragraph to seek HIS FACE.
In today's HOLY BIBLE SCRIPTURE TEXT, we see the prophet Isaiah, BEING COMMANDED BY ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST IN THE OLD TESTAMENT WHAT TYPE OF FAST JEHOVAH IS PLEASED WITH. ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST DOES NOT DESIRE THAT we fast from food or the like, and still live UNDESIRABLE sinful lives.
In other words, if we fast, while still practicing some form of sinful behavior, we are fasting for the wrong reasons,for there is not a change of heart. ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST DESIRES That our CHRISTian lifestyles should line up with our reasons dfor fasting, in order that The Nation of Israel and all nations might understand that we Serve THE RIGHTEOUS GOD, THE ONLY GOD, JESUS CHRIST WHO DIED ON CALVARY'S CROSS, RESURRECTING THE THIRD DAY, In order that we'd be SAVED, AND THAT HIS BLESSEDLY-TRIUMPHANT HOLY SPIRIT MIGHT CHANGE Our desires and sinful ways unto HIS PERFECT HOLINESS!
