Lately, I've been hearing a lot about King David slewing Goliath. Even back in the old Sunday School days, we've known this BIBLICAL TRUTH. As I listened to one Preacher Teach recently, I understood that King David didn't look at the size of the giant, he remembered what His GOD, THE LORD JESUS HAD ACCOMPLISHED FOER Him in the Past; Confessing of ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST, Our BLESSED AND TRIUMPHANT CRUCIFIED {MATTHEW 27} AND RESURRECTED {MATTHEW 28:20} KING Of kings and LORD Of lords {REVELATION 19:16}, that HE ENABLED Him to slew a lion and a bear while he was attending his sheep.
So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. - 1 SAMUEL 17:50
Let's faith it!!!!! With GOD all things are possible {MATTHEW 19:26}. Because King David knew HIS GOD, and what HE HAD ACCOMPLISHED IN the Past {1 SAMUEL 17:36}, HE KNEW that HE WAS MORE THAN ABLE TO HELP him defeat the giant Goliath {1 SAMUEL 17:50}. This goes on to show us that when we are facing something that seems difficult to overcome, we need to relax, and Remember the Great Victories that ALMIGHTY JESUS {GENESIS 35:11} HAS perpetrated in our lives, for HE HIMSELF IS ABLE to Help us overcome any dire situation IN ORDER THAT WE'D BECOME THE ABLE VESSELS OF HIS apt to teach {1 TIMOTHY 3:2, 2 TIMOTHY 2:24} and to lead and Guide others to the SAVING KNOWLEDGE OF Our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST {2 PETER 3:18, PSALM 38:22}!!!!!
In today's HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED HOLY BIBLE VERSE we see the man after GOD'S OWN HEART, King David picking up five smooth stones from the brook before he went into battle with a sling and a stone. Many have speculated why he chose five smooth stones instead of one. I heard someone preach yesterday that Goliath had four brothers, and that's why King David who would eventually slew all four of Goliath's brothers in the future. Well, that sounds plausible, and could be the reason. However, five is the number of Grace, and It was BY THE GRACE OF ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST {GENESIS 17:1} That King David just slung one stone and it hit Goliath right in the place where his head gear didn't cover.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. - 2 CORINTHIANS 4:17
So, my "dear friend {3 JOHN 1}", when you feel as if you're going through trials and tribulations as a follower of and a believer in JESUS CHRIST, remember that all who live Godly shall suffer persecution {2 TIMOTHY 3:12}; remembering that ".....our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. {2 CORINTHIANS 4:17}"
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. - 2 TIMOTHY 3:12
When we have past one test, there are more tests coming in order to prove our Faith In THE LORD JESUS!!!!! Please remember that no matter what Goliath you may be facing today, please be Encouraged to pick up your 5 smooth stones; your 5 HOLY BIBLE SCRIPTURES THAT Encourage you and what you or a family member might be experiencing at a particular moment, and as your confidence grows in the LORD JESUS, your faith will also grow, and you will be a Blessing to ALMIGHTY JESUS, Our LORD AND GOD {JOHN 20:28} and THE KINGDOM OF GOD {MATTHEW 6:33}.
